The Multimedia Championship is the culmination of the three monthly multimedia competitions held during the academic year.

These five finalists submitted the top winning multimedia pieces from 215 entries received in the Narrative Video Storytelling, Innovative Storytelling and Digital News or Enterprise competitions.

During the Championship, each multimedia finalist produced a three- to five-minute piece based on a spot assignment. Judges reviewed the work and selected the winners, who were announced at the awards ceremony on June 14.

THE ASSIGNMENT:

A multimedia piece about “re‑emergence.”

2021 has seen the beginning stages of re‑emergence. Our chambers echoed with chants of accountability, reanimation of social and cultural life but are still stained with grief and loss. Tell a story about re‑emergence in your community.

The multimedia judges Jarrad Henderson, Meredith Hogan and Danese Kenon chose the assignment, reviewed the entries and selected the winners.
